Questions to Ask When Waterproofing Your Basement

Will You need Short Term Solution, or Long Term Solution for solving your problem?

If short term, then you can just add bunch of tarps and observe if water leak continues around your basement wall foundation.

Is the water coming from under ground or from the top?

  • If it’s coming from the top then you will need one type of solution vs the other.   
  • For example, if the water coming from the ground, you may need a sump pump, with full or semi-partial internal french drain system.

Is the water coming from the top? 

  • In this case you may simply need to cover the area where water is attempting it’s way through, using combinational of hydrolic cement and special water proofing tar material.
